PRODUCTION In the Mediterranean region diversity is the norm where agrifood production is concerned. The climatic conditions go from subtropical to the temperate allowing for a wide variety of crops to be grown. By the same token the historical, geopolitical and social structure of the partner countries has produced and agricultural infrastructure that is very advanced in the Mediterranean countries that are members of the EU and its Common Agricultural Policy and more fragmented in the other Mediterranean countries. New B2B technologies can improve the business prospect and widen the market for this sector in all the partner countries. The project has grouped the Agrifood production in the Mediterranean region as follows:
Each partner's country present a different map of the above grouping, as a consequence it has and places/allocates different commercial and political emphases and priorities for each group. Each partner is evaluating the relevance and how best to apply the B2B service developed by the emed-tds.com project to each of the above groups. |
